Persian or mini cucumbers are believed to have developed in northern Israel in 1939, and after many varieties were cross-bred to create an almost seedless cucumber they became popular in North America. Besides pairing well with mint, melon, and salad the mini cucumbers are a great source of fiber, vitamin A and C, and help quell bad breath.
